Term and condition

By booking a safari or tour with Tanzania Wild Trails, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1.Booking & Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a written confirmation and the required deposit.
  • A deposit of 30%–50% of the total safari cost is required to secure reservations.
  • The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to arrival unless otherwise agreed.
  • Bookings made within 30 days of travel require full payment at the time of confirmation.

2.Payment Methods

We accept:

  1. Bank transfer
  2. Credit/debit card (if applicable)
  3. Other agreed payment methods
  4. All bank charges are the responsibility of the client.

3.Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be made in writing.
  • Cancellation charges apply as follows:
  • More than 45 days before arrival: Deposit refund minus administrative fees
  • 30–45 days before arrival: 30% of total safari cost
  • 15–29 days before arrival: 50% of total safari cost
  • 0–14 days before arrival: 100% of total safari cost

Certain lodges or special promotions may have stricter cancellation terms, which will be communicated in advance.

4.Changes to Itinerary

  • Tanzania Wild Trails reserves the right to adjust itineraries due to:
  • Weather conditions
  • Road conditions
  • Government regulations
  • Safety considerations
  • Lodge availability
  • Any necessary changes will be made in the best interest of the client while maintaining the quality of the experience.

5.Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. Insurance should cover: Trip cancellation Medical emergencies Personal accident Evacuation Loss of personal belongings Tanzania Wild Trails is not responsible for costs arising from lack of insurance.

6.Health & Safety

  • Clients are responsible for:
  • Obtaining required vaccinations
  • Ensuring passport validity (minimum 6 months)
  • Obtaining appropriate visas
  • Complying with local laws and park regulations
  • All safaris are conducted in wildlife areas where risks are inherent. Clients must follow guide instructions at all times.

7.Liability

  • Tanzania Wild Trails acts as an agent for lodges, airlines, transport providers, and other service suppliers.
  • We are not liable for:
  • Delays
  • Injuries
  • Loss or damage of personal property
  • Changes caused by third-party providers
  • However, we will always provide reasonable assistance in case of issues.

8.Force Majeure

We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Pandemics
  • Political unrest
  • Strikes

In such cases, alternative arrangements or credit notes may be offered where possible.
